HRCE has received advice regarding risk management from its insurance provider, School Insurance Program (SIP), about the use of outdoor playground equipment currently on school properties.   The Canadian Safety Standards (CSA) has two standards for outdoor playground equipment: one for 18 months to 5 years and the other for 5 - 12 years.  As the Musquodoboit Valley Education Centre does not have CSA- approved equipment for 18 month to 5 year olds, we are disallowed from permitting students in pre-primary and primary, and will take this into full consideration.
