Ava's idea was one of 15 selected to be brought to life from over 600 ideas uploaded to NSERC (Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada) and Little Inventors Mission: Protect Our Oceans.

Ava's idea, the Cleaner Picker Upper, will be featured in an online exhibition, which will be launched by NSERC in early summer as part of Science Odyssey week and also celebrate the launch of the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.
